The MINI Lucky 13 Edition celebrates one of Australian motorsport’s greatest underdog victories. Inspired by the Morris Mini Cooper S that conquered Mount Panorama in 1966, this exclusive Australian edition brings racing heritage into the present with unmistakable design, John Cooper Works performance and a production run limited to just 26 vehicles.

Born at Bathurst.

In 1966, Bob Holden and Rauno Aaltonen drove a Morris Mini Cooper S to outright victory in the Gallaher 500 at Mount Panorama. The winning Mini finished one lap ahead of second place. And Mini achieved an extraordinary race result of 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9. Sixty years on, Lucky 13 honours the ingenuity, agility and teamwork behind that defining moment.

Heritage, reinterpreted.

Finished in British Racing Green IV with a Glazed White roof and mirror caps, white bonnet stripes and exclusive circular ‘13’ decals, the Lucky 13 Edition makes its inspiration clear. High-gloss black John Cooper Works winglets, a carbon-fibre JCW tailpipe finisher and red JCW tow strap add a focused contemporary edge.

Based on the petrol-powered MINI John Cooper Works, the Lucky 13 Edition features a 1,998cc in-line four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a seven-speed sports dual-clutch transmission and shift paddles. It combines heritage-inspired character with contemporary John Cooper Works performance.

Inside, John Cooper Works seats and steering wheel, an Anthracite headliner and recycled polyester knit dashboard and door-card trim create a focused cabin. The 240mm circular OLED central display, head-up display and MINI Experience Modes with extended ambient light projection bring the digital experience to life.
